MEET KADZO

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specialized in the treatment of trauma. I am trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy®, a method which integrates the emotional and rational systems of the brain to rapidly and effectively heal emotional pain and facilitate personal transformation.

Since 2011, I have used Rapid Resolution Therapy® with clients to heal trauma caused by sexual, physical and emotional abuse; anxiety; anger; phobias; parental abandonment; accidents; the loss of loved ones; and the diagnosis of debilitating diseases. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), both of which support the brain to integrate unprocessed memories that cause depression, anxiety, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). I welcome clients of all backgrounds.

When I am not working with clients in a therapeutic setting, I give workshops and talks on authentic relationships and personal growth. I also have a passion for supporting women through coaching and writing about mental health and personal development.

From saving elephants to empowering people

My first career was in wildlife conservation and began with living in a tent and studying elephants near the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. I then managed conservation projects throughout sub-Saharan Africa. With time, however, I felt that conservation was addressing the symptoms of problems, and that conservation crises were caused by unenlightened human choices. Elephant populations were plunging because people, enticed by financial gain, organized poaching operations, and traders bought ivory with little thought of the consequences. Convinced that solutions to the challenges facing humanity lay within the inner landscape of human beings, I began to study mental health, which led me to a career in psychotherapy. I now treat trauma and empower clients to lead fulfilling lives. I also coach individuals on how to navigate social pressures, life transitions and address life’s big questions.

World Citizen

I was born and raised in Kenya, and have lived in England, the United Arab Emirates and the United States. When I worked in conservation I traveled widely throughout sub-Saharan Africa, and also visited India, Singapore, Thailand, France, Panama and Costa Rica. This broad life experience and understanding of many cultures informs my work with clients. I now live in Connecticut with my husband and two children.
